Todd Rivers is the preening actor cast as Dr. Lucien Sanchez, Darkplace hospital's resident lothario-physician, forever unbuttoning his shirt and delivering diagnoses like seduction lines. In the talking-head interviews he treats the cheapest of TV work as towering artistry, all vanity, cigars, and unearned self-regard, utterly convinced of his own magnetism.

Matt Berry's voice alone does half the comedy — that booming, self-satisfied purr turns every ridiculous line into a declaration of genius. The joke is layered: a bad actor playing a worse doctor, commenting on both with zero self-awareness. Berry never winks at the audience, which is exactly why it's so funny.
