Tippy Bernstein

Tippy Bernstein turns up in Schitt's Creek as one of the town's older residents, played by Saul Rubinek with the warm, slightly rumpled authority of a man who has seen this small community through decades of its ordinary business. He greets the Roses' arrival with the same unbothered civility he'd show anyone else passing through.

Rubinek brings a lived-in ease to even a small role, the kind of comic timing that comes from decades of character work — a raised eyebrow, a dry aside, a sense that this person has a whole life happening just off camera. He grounds Schitt's Creek's absurdity in something recognizably human and unhurried.
