Tim

Tim is the fussy, flag-waving conservative of the trio, forever draped in Union Jack apparel and clinging to notions of decency, decorum and Queen and Country even as the world around him dissolves into anarchy. He is easily flustered, prone to screaming at the slightest indignity, and utterly devoted to doing whatever odd job pays the rent.

Brooke-Taylor plays panic like a fine instrument, turning Tim's upper-lip primness into pure comic combustion the instant chaos intrudes. The character works as the establishment stooge whose starchy values keep getting flattened by absurdity, and his shrieking, dignity-losing collapses are funnier for how sincerely he holds onto his manners.
