Throw Your Sea Monkeys Advertisement

A pitchman barks out of the television during one of Futurama's fake commercial breaks, selling sea monkeys with the breathless, oversold enthusiasm of a late-night infomercial huckster. He exists only to hawk the product, all grin and exclamation points, gone as soon as the ad ends.

Futurama's throwaway ad-parodies are where Maurice LaMarche gets to unleash pure vocal showmanship, and this pitchman is a tiny, gleeful blast of it — a caricature of consumerist hype rendered so enthusiastically it becomes its own joke, over almost before you register it.
