Thorfinn

Thorfinn is a boy turned hardened warrior, fighting as a mercenary in Askeladd's band of raiders. Small and lethal, he lives for one purpose: to kill Askeladd in a fair duel and avenge his father. He fights constantly, sleeps little, and shows almost no warmth to anyone around him.

Uemura gives Thorfinn a flat, unnervingly calm voice that makes his rage feel banked rather than absent, a kid burning himself down for a single goal. The writing lets him be genuinely terrifying in combat while quietly, tragically still a child underneath it, and that tension is what makes him impossible to look away from.
