The Stranger

The Stranger slips into Big Mouth as a shadowy new presence, a smooth-voiced figure who shows up when someone is hiding a want they're too embarrassed to say out loud. He doesn't judge — he just notices, and invites the character to admit what they've been suppressing, quietly and without fuss.

Nick Kroll gives him an unnervingly gentle, almost seductive calm, a total tonal departure from his other manic Big Mouth voices. That restraint is the joke and the poignancy at once: a cartoon about puberty finding room for actual tenderness toward shame, delivered by the same actor who usually plays the chaos.
