The Sixth Doctor

Fresh from regeneration and still unstable, this Doctor arrives loud, vain, and prone to fits of temper that alarm his own companion. Dressed in a coat that seems to shout, he swings between pomposity and flashes of real menace, questioning whether he can even be trusted. Underneath the bluster he's still working out who he's become.

Colin Baker leans all the way into the character's unlikeability rather than softening it, which makes the performance genuinely unpredictable in a show that usually plays its hero safe. The coat is a dare, the arrogance is deliberate, and watching him is a bet on whether abrasiveness can curdle into something worth rooting for.
