Kate Walsh plays her like a mid-century office ideal gone wrong, all crisp blazers and unbothered smiles that never quite reach menace until they do. The writing lets her be delightful company right up until the moment she isn't, and Walsh never signals the turn early, which is exactly what makes her fun to watch and impossible to trust.
The Handler was an egotistical and controlling member of the Temps Commission, often dealing personally with matters concerning Number Five and the apocalypse, despite not being the case leader. She was also the adoptive mother of Lila Pitts.
