The Great Wizard Greyfarn

Introduced as a robed figure of obvious fantasy pedigree, the Great Wizard Greyfarn carries himself with the practiced gravity of someone used to being believed. He speaks in portentous declarations, invokes old powers, and expects deference — the sort of self-styled sage who has clearly told this story about himself before.

Billy West, already juggling half the show's cast, slips into the part with an easy theatrical boom that plays the archetype completely straight, which is exactly what makes any cracks in the wizard's authority land. The character works as a small, confident parody of fantasy pomposity dropped into Futurama's sci-fi world.
