The Big Brain is exactly what the name promises: a towering intellect encased in an enormous, exposed cranium, who wastes no time reminding everyone in the room how far beneath him they are. He speaks in pronouncements, treats ordinary humans and Planet Express crew alike as slow children, and clearly enjoys being the smartest thing in any scene.

Maurice LaMarche gives him that booming, theatrical grandiosity he's famous for, all rolling vowels and self-important pauses, which turns a sight gag of a giant floating head into a genuinely funny performance. The joke isn't just the brain — it's how thoroughly LaMarche commits to playing him as a Shakespearean ham who happens to be a mutant.
