Tetsurō Kuroo

Captain of Nekoma High's volleyball team, Kuroo is the sharp-tongued middle blocker with wild rooster hair and a smile that always seems to be plotting something. He's a natural strategist who reads opponents mid-rally, needles rivals for fun, and clearly adores the sport enough to have built his whole personality around outsmarting it.

The writing gives Kuroo the brain of a coach in the body of a player, and Nakamura's voice makes every taunt sound half like a threat and half like an invitation to a friend. He's funny without being comic relief, and his patient handling of quieter teammates like Kenma reveals a warmth underneath the provocation.
