Tenya Iida

Iida is Class 1-A's self-appointed class representative, and he takes the job with total sincerity — rigid posture, exact chopping hand gestures, lectures delivered at full volume when rules are broken. His quirk lets him sprint at incredible speed with engines in his calves. He wants order, discipline, and to live up to the family name of heroes he reveres.

He could easily be just the stiff, humorless prefect archetype, but the writing keeps undercutting his formality with real warmth and real panic — his gestures are absurd, his devotion sincere. Ishikawa plays the seriousness completely straight, which is exactly what makes the cracks in it, when they come, land so hard.
