Ted Mullens

Ted runs the local veterinary practice in Schitt's Creek, and he's the town's resident nice guy: sunny, sincere, a little goofy, and utterly without cynicism. He becomes Alexis Rose's boyfriend, treating her with a steady, uncomplicated warmth she's never quite encountered before. He says exactly what he means, which is rarer in this town than it sounds.

Dustin Milligan plays Ted's earnestness so straight-faced that it becomes its own kind of comedy, a warm foil to all the show's irony. He never mocks Alexis or plays dumb for laughs; he's genuinely good, and that goodness quietly recalibrates her character. Milligan makes decency look effortless without ever making Ted boring.
