Tara King

Tara King arrives as Steed's newest partner, a fresh Ministry agent still finding her footing in the spy trade. She's eager, a little green, and openly fond of Steed in a way her predecessors kept more guarded. Trained rather than seasoned, she throws herself at danger with enthusiasm that outpaces her experience, learning the tricks of the trade as she goes.

Thorson plays her as genuinely younger and softer than the women before her, which lets the show explore a different rhythm: mentor and pupil rather than two equals trading quips. There's real warmth in her eagerness, and a vulnerability that makes her scrapes feel like actual risk rather than choreographed cool.
