Takeru Kobayashi XXXXIII

A distant descendant of the real-world hot-dog-eating champion, this 31st-century Kobayashi is summoned as a last resort when New New York needs someone capable of superhuman consumption. He arrives with total, deadpan confidence in his own gift, treating an absurd civic emergency as just another eating contest.

The joke works because the show plays it completely straight: a real athlete's legacy stretched a thousand years into the future as if competitive eating were an enduring, dynastic art. Phil LaMarr gives him unbothered gravity, and the sheer specificity of the reference is what makes it land.
