Takaharu Fukuroda

Takaharu Fukuroda is one of Honnouji Academy's Elite Four, the boxing club's president and a walking fist wrapped in a Three-Star Goku Uniform. Loud, cocky, and utterly devoted to Lady Satsuki's iron order, he throws himself at the new transfer student Ryuko Matoi with the swaggering certainty of a man who has never lost a fight that mattered.

He's the first real taste of how absurdly overblown this show's power fantasy gets, and Iwata plays him with a bellowing, meathead sincerity that never winks at the audience. The character works because he takes his own ridiculous machismo completely seriously, which is exactly what makes the escalating spectacle around him so funny and so thrilling.
