Superhero

A caped figure who turns up in Futurama's satirical orbit, this Superhero is exactly what the title promises and nothing more: square-jawed, self-serious, and utterly certain of his own righteousness. He strikes poses, delivers proclamations, and treats every situation as though it were newsreel footage of his own heroism.

Billy West, already juggling half the show's cast, slides into the role with the same gift he brings everywhere else: total commitment to a joke without winking at it. The character works because Futurama never explains the parody — it just lets a walking cliché stand next to Fry and Bender and be funny by contrast alone.
