Super Hans

Super Hans is Mark and Jeremy's oldest friend, a musician and career reprobate who drifts through Jeremy's flat and life with a permanent, catastrophic openness to bad ideas. He's charismatic, unbothered by consequence, and treats crack, scheming and self-destruction as reasonable lifestyle choices. Whatever the plan, he's already three steps further into ruin than anyone else.

Matt King plays him with a sunny, unhurried calm that makes his worst suggestions sound like wisdom, which is the joke: everyone around him is anxious and repressed while he alone seems free. The writing uses him as an id let loose, a glimpse of where Jeremy's laziness could actually lead, and King never plays it as cautionary — just gleeful.
