Summer Voiceoverian appears in one of the show's brief detours into fictional television, a parody figure whose every move comes wrapped in melodramatic narration explaining feelings that are already obvious on her face. She postures through soap-opera beats — betrayal, longing, crisis — as if aware a narrator is watching her too.

The joke is entirely in the redundancy: Spencer Grammer, who spends the rest of the show as Summer, gets to lampoon the exact register of teen-drama earnestness the character usually avoids.
