Sturge

Sturge is the quiet, hulking handyman around St. Patrick's, digging graves and doing odd jobs without much comment. He keeps to himself, follows instructions, and seems to want nothing more than to stay out of trouble on the island. Whatever is asked of him, he does — no questions, no complaints.

Matt Biedel plays him almost entirely through stillness — a big, watchful presence who says little but is clearly absorbing everything. The show uses that silence as a slow-burning question: is he simply obedient, or does he understand exactly what he's part of? The ambiguity is what makes him unsettling to watch.
