Space

Space is one of the housemates locked inside the Big Brother compound in Dead Set, oblivious to the chaos building outside its walls. He's part of the manufactured ensemble of hopefuls, playing to cameras and each other, chasing attention and validation inside a bubble that's about to be punctured by something far worse than eviction.

Adam Deacon brings a scrappy, believable energy to a character who exists first as reality-TV fodder before the show reveals its teeth. The satire works because these housemates feel like real, slightly ridiculous people, and Space's ordinary vanities and rivalries make the horror that follows land harder — mundane humanity thrown against something monstrous.
