Slim Gluttonstein turns up as one of the background faces populating New New York, the kind of oddly-named extra Futurama tosses off for a laugh in a crowd scene or a tossed-away line. He is not a figure with plans or wants so much as a piece of the city's comic texture, present and then gone.
