Slave #1

Slave #1 is exactly what the credit implies: an unnamed laborer glimpsed in the crowd of some Futurama misadventure, identified only by number. He has no arc, no name, no aspirations beyond the joke of the scene he's dropped into — a background figure doing whatever grim or absurd task the plot requires of him.

The gag is the economy of it — a title card's worth of dark comedy standing in for a whole character. Maurice LaMarche, one of the show's great utility voices, gives him just enough weary specificity that the joke lands without asking you to care about him as anything more than a punchline.
