Skinless Robo-Leela

A grotesque one-off gag glimpsed rather than met: a mechanical frame stripped of its Leela-shaped skin, wires and gears where a face should be. It exists for a startling beat rather than a storyline, a visual joke about the show's habit of peeling back its characters to show the machinery underneath.

It works because Futurama loves undercutting sentiment with body-horror absurdity, and this image does that in one glance. Tress MacNeille's brief vocal touch gives the metal shell just enough unsettling life to land the joke, proof the show can turn its own heroine into a punchline without losing its nerve.
