Simon Ogilvey

Simon Ogilvey is a young intelligence officer working under Angela Burr, part of the small, underfunded team trying to build a case against arms dealer Richard Roper. He's diligent and a little green, doing the unglamorous groundwork of surveillance and paperwork while the operation around him grows more dangerous than he expected.

Russell Tovey plays him with an earnestness that makes him feel like a real junior officer rather than a plot device — eager, slightly out of his depth, believable as someone who joined for the right reasons. Against the show's glossy villains and weary spies, his ordinary decency gives the story a grounded, human edge.
