Silvio is Tony's consigliere and the manager of the Bada Bing, a sharp-suited fixer whose main talent is smoothing over other people's problems without ever seeming to break a sweat. He's cautious, loyal, and dry, the guy who does a dead-on Pacino impression and rarely lets anyone see him rattled.

Van Zandt was cast for his presence rather than acting pedigree, and it works because Silvio never needs to emote — the stillness is the performance. His widow's peak and deadpan line readings turn him into the show's driest running joke, a consigliere whose loyalty reads as pure, unshowy professionalism.
