Sheriff Don Lamb

Don Lamb is Neptune's sheriff, a smirking, self-satisfied cop who prefers easy answers to real ones. He dismisses Veronica's theories with a smug grin, coasts on the goodwill of the town's wealthy families, and treats actual investigation as beneath him. Vain and lazy, he is far more interested in looking competent than being it.

Michael Muhney plays him as pure, punchable charm — that grin never cracks even when he's plainly wrong, which makes every scene with Veronica a small duel of wits she's guaranteed to win on cunning if not on authority. He's comic relief with real consequences, a reminder that the law in Neptune serves power, not truth.
