Shed Garvey

Shed Garvey is the medic aboard the ice hauler Canterbury, one of the easygoing, hardworking crew scraping out a living in the Belt. He's affable and a little goofy, the kind of guy who cracks jokes over the comm and treats the daily grind of hauling water to Ceres like just another shift.

He works because he's ordinary in a genre that often skips ordinary — a regular guy doing a regular job in a universe about to get very irregular. Costanzo plays him loose and likable, giving the Canterbury's opening scenes a lived-in, blue-collar texture that makes the ship feel like a real workplace before anything else happens to it.
