Sgt. Klein

Sgt. Klein is one of the police figures moving through the machinery of the case against Naz, a procedural presence rather than a personality thrust into the spotlight. He does his job with the flat efficiency of a career officer, part of the system processing a suspect long before anyone asks whether the system got it right.

Ben Shenkman plays him with the dry, unglamorous competence the show favors over speechifying villains or heroes. The character works because he isn't meant to stand out — he's texture, one more cog turning against Naz, and that ordinariness is what makes the machinery of the justice system feel so unnervingly real.
