Sex Shop Salesman

He appears behind the counter of a shop peddling futuristic novelties, pitching whatever oddball merchandise the scene requires with the patter of a man who has seen every kind of customer and is unbothered by any of them. He is a quick, functional joke, gone as soon as he's delivered his line.

Maurice LaMarche, one of Futurama's great utility voices, gives him just enough oily, unbothered showmanship to land the gag in a handful of seconds. It's a testament to the show's density of throwaway characters that even a single-scene salesman gets a fully committed comic voice behind him.
