Sergeant Linus Mosk

Linus Mosk is the Preox-Morlana security officer investigating a double killing on Ferrix, certain the drifter Cassian Andor is responsible. He is petty, resentful, and drunk on what little authority his corporate badge affords him, pushing his underpaid, overworked team to chase a promotion he thinks the case will finally earn him.

Alex Ferns plays him as a small man radiating outsized menace, the kind of company enforcer whose grievances matter more to him than justice. The show uses him to show how casually the Empire's violence starts at the bottom, with a bored, ambitious cop rather than a stormtrooper, which makes the opening episodes feel unnervingly plausible.
