Sergeant #1

Sergeant #1 is exactly what the rank suggests: a no-nonsense military voice barking orders somewhere in the background of Futurama's sprawling universe, present to move a scene along rather than to be known. He speaks with authority, expects obedience, and exists mostly at the edges of someone else's plot.

The joke here is entirely vocal. John DiMaggio, already the show's resident growl as Bender, slips into another gruff authority figure so seamlessly that the gag is in the recognition — that unmistakable gravel doing double duty, popping up in a bit part and getting a laugh just by showing up.
