Security Guard

A background presence at Planet Express or wherever the plot requires a gatekeeper, the Security Guard exists to stand between the main cast and somewhere they are not supposed to go. He is unimpressed by excuses, unbothered by chaos, and treats even the strangest visitors with flat procedural indifference.

Futurama's world runs on exactly this kind of deadpan functionary — someone whose job title is the whole joke, delivering absurd rules in the driest possible tone. David Herman's flat, put-upon line readings make the character a reliable small pleasure: a nobody who never breaks a sweat no matter how strange the century gets.
