Scientist #2

A nameless member of Futurama's recurring pack of background scientists, Scientist #2 turns up whenever the plot needs a lab-coated chorus to state the obvious, panic at the wrong moment, or die absurdly for a punchline. He has no arc and no name beyond the number — just a role to fill in whatever crowd of eggheads the joke requires.

The gag is that the show never bothers distinguishing these scientists, and that anonymity is the joke: a fully credentialed doom-prophet who exists purely to be ignored or vaporized. David Herman's flat, matter-of-fact delivery sells the absurdity, treating every apocalyptic pronouncement with the same bored professionalism as a weather report.
