Sarah Braverman

Sarah Braverman is back in her parents' Berkeley house, thirty-eight and starting over with two teenagers in tow after a marriage falls apart. She's broke, underemployed, and trying to reclaim some footing as a mother and a person, leaning hard on family while chafing at how much she needs them.

Lauren Graham brings her familiar quick, self-deprecating warmth but roughens it with real exhaustion and shame — Sarah is funny in the same breath she's humiliated. The show lets her fumble at work, at parenting, at romance, without ever making her pathetic, and Graham finds the dignity underneath the mess.
