Sara

Sara is a blind fortune-teller who drifts into the wandering trio's path, reading palms and futures for coin. She carries herself with a calm, knowing air, offering cryptic pronouncements that may be genuine insight or practiced showmanship. Her manner is gentle but guarded, and it is never quite clear how much she truly sees.

The show never tips its hand on whether Sara is a true mystic or a clever grifter, and that ambiguity is the point — Samurai Champloo delights in blurring sincerity and hustle. Sakiko Tamagawa gives her a soft, unhurried voice that could belong to either a con artist or a seer, letting the mystery do the work.
