Sandworm

A colossal creature that erupts from beneath the sand on some inhospitable world the Planet Express crew has the misfortune to visit. It doesn't negotiate or reason — it simply lunges, swallows, and threatens to end the episode's plot in one gulp, a lumbering obstacle rather than a character with wants.

John DiMaggio gives the thing a guttural, rumbling voice that turns a background hazard into a small comic set piece — the joke isn't the worm's menace but how casually the crew treats mortal peril. It's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it bit, the kind of throwaway monster Futurama tosses off with more personality than most shows give their leads.
