Sandra Kaluiokalani

Sandra works the floor at Cloud 9 with a soft voice and a habit of getting talked over. She's eager to please, quick to volunteer for thankless jobs, and easily flustered by conflict, though she has a stubborn tenderness underneath — especially when it comes to causes she quietly cares about, like her rescue dog.

Kaliko Kauahi finds the comedy in a character built to be ignored, letting Sandra's timidity curdle into odd, specific stubbornness at exactly the moments you'd expect her to fold. The show could easily flatten her into a doormat joke; instead she keeps surprising you with backbone, delivered in the same meek murmur.
