Sally-Ann Spector

Sally-Ann is Paul Spector's wife, a devoted mother juggling young children and a demanding job as a bereavement counsellor. She appears steady and warm at home, absorbed in the ordinary business of family life, with no sense that anything beneath her husband's calm exterior might be amiss.

Bronagh Waugh plays domestic normalcy with such unforced ease that the character becomes the show's quiet anchor to ordinary life amid its darkness. Her warmth and lack of suspicion make the surrounding tension land harder, because through her eyes we see how convincingly a double life can be hidden in plain sight.
