Sal

Sal works the loading dock at Planet Express, a gruff, barrel-chested dockhand with a thick accent and zero patience for nonsense. He barks orders, hefts crates, and treats every delivery like a personal insult. He's background muscle in the world of the show — reliably cranky, rarely explained, always working.

John DiMaggio, already doing double duty as Bender, gives Sal a completely different register: a wheezy, blue-collar bark that turns a one-scene dockworker into a tiny comic event every time he opens his mouth. The joke is efficiency itself — no backstory needed, just a voice that sounds exhausted by the universe.
