Ryan Lafferty

Ryan Lafferty arrives in the Walkers' orbit as an outsider with a quiet, deliberate purpose, watchful and hard to read. He carries himself with the wariness of someone who has grown up without the family's comfort or its protections, and his presence raises immediate, unspoken questions about why he's really there.

Luke Grimes plays him close to the vest, letting small hesitations and guarded glances do the work of dialogue the show withholds. The writing uses him as a slow-burn mystery inside a chatty, overlapping family drama, and Grimes's stillness against the Walkers' constant noise makes him magnetic simply by refusing to explain himself too soon.
