Rupert Mannion

Rupert is Rebecca's ex-husband and the man who once owned AFC Richmond, still circling the club and her life with proprietary charm. He's smooth, witty, expensively dressed, and always seems to know exactly which comment will land softest and cut deepest. He wants to be adored, and rarely stops performing it.

Anthony Head plays villainy as good manners, which is far scarier than shouting. Every compliment Rupert pays sounds like an apology he doesn't mean, every joke has a blade folded inside it. The show lets him be genuinely charismatic rather than cartoonish, so you understand exactly why leaving him was hard.
