Ronald

Ronald is Tracey's boyfriend, a devout young man from the same church community who believes sex should wait for marriage and treats that belief as settled fact. He is earnest, fussy, easily flustered, and utterly unprepared for Tracey's increasingly desperate attempts to change his mind about waiting.

John Macmillan plays Ronald's piety completely straight, which is what makes him funny rather than smug — he genuinely believes his own restraint is virtuous, and the show lets his sincerity collide with Tracey's chaos without ever making him a simple joke. His stiffness becomes the perfect deadpan foil for her frantic energy.
