He's one of New New York's countless background faces, a commuter forever weaving through crowded sidewalks on rollerblades, oblivious to the chaos he causes. He doesn't drive the plot; he's part of the city's texture, a quick visual gag zipping past while the Planet Express crew argue about something else entirely.

Futurama built its future out of these tiny, disposable jokes, and the Rollerblader is one of the purest examples: no arc, no lines that matter, just a recognizable shape hurtling through frame. John DiMaggio, doing one of his many uncredited throwaway voices, gives even a passing skater a flicker of personality before the joke moves on.
