Roland Schitt

Roland is the town's blowhard mayor, a fixture at Bob's Garage who says whatever crosses his mind with zero filter and even less tact. He's crude, nosy, and weirdly proud of Schitt's Creek, treating the Rose family's arrival as fresh entertainment and free access to their business.

Chris Elliott plays him with total commitment to the bit — no vanity, no wink to the audience, just gleeful vulgarity delivered completely straight. The show could have made him a one-joke hick; instead his oddball warmth and unexpected loyalty toward Johnny sneak up on you, turning the town's biggest embarrassment into one of its steadiest hearts.
