Roger Knapp

Roger Knapp is a DEA agent posted to the sleepy Guadalajara station, the kind of assignment nobody fights for. Eager, a little green, and prone to treating the job with more swagger than the situation warrants, he wants to make his mark and prove he belongs among the agency's more seasoned operators.

He's the show's release valve — Lenny Jacobson plays him loose and slightly ridiculous amid so much grim procedural weight, and that contrast is the point. Knapp's bravado reads as comic until the story reminds you, quietly, how much danger surrounds men who don't yet understand the game they're in.
