Robot Leaving Theatre #1

A robot glimpsed only for a moment, filing out of a New New York theatre with the rest of the crowd after some unseen show has let out. No name, no arc — just a bystander in the churn of the city, there to fill out the world Futurama loves to crowd with strangers.

The joke of Futurama's background is that even the throwaway robot has a voice actor giving him full commitment, and Billy West — already doing half the regular cast — treats a nothing part with the same care. It's a small, generous gag about how dense and alive the show's world is.
