Robot Farmer

A background rustic on the Moon in Futurama's early episodes, the Robot Farmer is exactly what he sounds like: a weathered, drawling machine who tends his patch of lunar dirt and grumbles about newfangled nonsense and the younger generation, robot or otherwise. He's a one-scene fixture, not a returning player.

He's a tiny joke that lands because Billy West commits fully to the voice — a leathery, tobacco-spit twang grafted onto a tin-can body, mining the gap between 'grizzled old farmer' and 'robot' for a quick laugh. It's the kind of throwaway bit that makes Futurama's world feel populated rather than empty.
