Robot Doctor

The Robot Doctor turns up whenever Planet Express needs medical attention nobody sane would trust to a machine built more like a caricature of a physician than an actual healer. He diagnoses with breezy confidence, treats with dubious methods, and greets emergencies with an alarm siren instead of composure, all while insisting he knows exactly what he's doing.

Maurice LaMarche gives him a blaring, siren-like panic cry that turns up at the worst possible moments, which is the whole joke: competence theater from a device with none. He's a one-note gag, but the note is so perfectly tuned to Futurama's love of bureaucratic and mechanical absurdity that it never stops landing.
