Robot Cellmate

A robot sharing a cell in whatever lockup this episode's plot has landed someone in, the Robot Cellmate is exactly what his name promises: a fellow inmate made of metal, dropped into a scene for a quick exchange of prison-yard banter and gone before anyone learns his story.

John DiMaggio's voice does the heavy lifting here, bringing the same gruff, world-weary rasp he uses for Bender to a total stranger, so the joke is built into the casting itself. It's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it bit part elevated purely by a familiar voice in an unfamiliar mouth.
